A PERSONAL NOTE
Origins.
"This is the first and only time I will speak in first person. Hi, I’m Jazz. I’m the founder of JAM Studio."
This venture began with a simple request from my dad. He wanted to replace his old, yellowed plastic card holder with something personal and well-made.
At the time, we were experimenting with 3D printing and realized it could do far more than prototyping. It could turn a specific idea into a finished product, quickly and precisely. From then on, I was hooked. I spent more time than I probably should have iterating and improving the design bit by bit, obsessed with getting it exactly right.
WHY A CASE CARD?
The concept was born from a simple observation: we choose phone cases to protect our tech and express our personalities. Why shouldn’t our most essential cards have the same luxury? As I moved away from carrying cash, I realized my bulky wallet was obsolete. I slimmed down my carry to just two essentials: an apartment key card and a bank card.
But a minimalist lifestyle requires a maximum-strength build. To make this vision a reality, I had to find the perfect balance between advanced 3D printing and everyday durability.
THE SWEET SPOT
We didn’t land on a two-card capacity by accident.
It is a deliberate choice based on the ergonomics of movement
ONE CARD
Too Limiting, Fails to account for the necessary dual-nature of modern transaction (ID + Payment)
TWO CARDS
The perfect balance. One for identity or access and one for commerce. Zero bulk, maximum utility.
THREE CARDS
Adds unnecessary bulk, slow access and complicate the simple ergonomics of your daily reach
CUSTOMIZE AND GLAMORIZE
How you set up your two slots is up to you.
